MAYA is a pure aniline napa leather with an unpigmented surface treatment. Its natural breathability remains fully intact. MAYA is made exclusively from Central European cowhides. MAYA is very soft and delicate to the touch. Natural features such as scarring, blemishes or textural differences are deliberate and underline this leather’s natural personality.

The leather type MAYA is porous smooth leather (aniline leather). Due to the porosity, aniline leather is warm and natural and gets a typical leather patina.
For everyday cleaning, it is sufficient to occasionally dust off the leather with a feather duster or a dry dust cloth. Stains can be cleaned with a terry cloth moistened with Aniline Cleaner. Not too wet to avoid borders and do not rub too hard. Dry the darkened, wet area with a hair dryer with cold air to avoid water marks. Always practice a cleaning test in a hidden area! Check especially carefully with light leathers!Lightened areas can be darkened by applying a very little amount of care product or by wiping gently with a slightly damp cloth. Darkened stains can usually be lightened a little after drying by stretching the leather surface. Always test all procedures in a hidden area. In the case of fresh stains, first soak with a terry cloth or paper towel by pressing between the fingers. Do not rub! For difficult stains, it is always better to contact a specialist first. Damage can easily occur due to improper cleaning attempts.
For maintenance, we recommend Aniline Protector. The Aniline Protector provides the necessary moisturizing to keep the leather soft and prevents fading. Depending on the strain, heat, and light intensity, the leather should be sparingly maintained every three to twelve months. In case of risk of stains caused by liquids, Water Repellent Spray is recommended.
